Luxury on the Cheap at the next Food & Wine Event June 2 by Ron James Don't miss the Food & Wine group's next event at the beautiful Addison restaurant located in The Grand Del Mar. The Addison recently was awarded 3-stars by the Los Angeles Times and as you know, the Times is really stingy with its stars. This is sure to be the best event in a series of great wine and food events presented by the Press Club. A very special line-up of fine wines will be selected and presented by sommelier Jesse Rodriquez, formerly of The French Laundry. The gourmet food matches will be courtesy of executive chef, William Bradley, who recently returned to his hometown after opening the nationally acclaimed Vu, in Scottsdale. The awesome restaurant design reflects the Florida Renaissance in the 1920s, defining the resort communities of Palm Beach and Boca Raton -- inspired by the decorative arts of Spain, Portugal, Venice and Morocco. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. and runs to 4:30 on Saturday, June 2. The Addison is located at 5200 Grand Del Mar Way, San Diego, CA 92130.
